The MANTL: the best Turkish restaurant in Knightsbridge

Platters of beautifully grilled meats, fresh tabbouleh and the delicate flavours of kirmizi biber and za’atar spice – to indulge in Turkish cuisine is the be transported to the bustle of the Spice Bazaar in Istanbul and the old city of Gaziantep.


Priding itself as the “culinary ambassadors of all things Anatolian”, The MANTL is dedicated to an authentic taste of Türkiye. Since opening its doors across from Harrods in 2019, the contemporary Turkish restaurant has impressed with its traditional cooking over hot coals and chic industrial interiors (think leather seats and ambient mood-lighting).


Pistachio lamb cutlets with honey pomegranate molasses, smoked aubergine and mixed skewers are just a sample of what’s on offer. Ranked number one in the capital by Time Out earlier this year, its award-winning menu is meant for sharing (although we challenge anyone to part with the milk kadayif found on the desserts menu). Artfully plated, each dish is a reflection of the creativity of head chef Murat Çakır and his team, while the selection of wine, fine spirits and cocktails, served by some of London’s top mixologists, bring an element of play into the fine dining experience.
