One last taste of summer at Harry’s in Knightsbridge
Harry’s, the Italian restaurant group inspired by the legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice, has launched a new seasonal menu at its Knightsbridge restaurant. Called the Amalfi Escape, it’s inspired by the flavours of the southern Italian coast and runs until 10 November.
The set menu is two courses for £25.95 or three for £30.95 at the Knightsbridge restaurant, just behind Harrods. Perfect for a long lunch or early evening that summer still just about allows, the dishes draw on the coastal larder. Sea bream with roasted potato, garlic and spinach; ravioli filled with Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and forest mushrooms; and Tonnarelli ai Gamberi, a long-strip pasta with prawns, butter, pecorino and lemon that appears exclusively on the Knightsbridge menu.
Starters include a mozzarella with datterini tomato, basil and olive oil; a Gorgonzola salad with butterleaf, avocado and tarragon (another Knightsbridge exclusive); and an onion soup made with sage, basil and crushed Amaretti biscotti, an unexpected combination.
The menu has been paired with a new range of cocktails made in collaboration with Campari. The signature Amalfi Escape (£10.50) mixes Campari with Harry’s own limoncello, Prosecco and Fever-Tree White Grape and Apricot Soda. If Negronis are more your thing, there are three to choose from: a Cherry and Fig at £13.50, a Dirty version with pickled lemon and Prosecco at £12.50, and a Classic made with Tanqueray No. TEN at £13.95.
Desserts keep the theme going: mini cannoli filled with Amalfi lemon sorbet, a white chocolate and lemon cheesecake with raspberry sauce, and a Tiramisu made with espresso, rum-soaked Savoiardi and Marsala egg mousse.
The Amalfi Escape is available Sunday to Wednesday from 11.30am until close, and Thursday to Friday from 11.30am to 6pm. Harry’s Knightsbridge is just behind Harrods at 27-31 Basil Street, SW3 1BB. Book at harrysdolcevita.com.
