Candy crush: The Knot Churros arrives in SW1X

The world is set to go Barbie mad this summer with the launch of the new Barbie movie on 21 July. But Knightsbridge locals can indulge their “pink” side ahead of the film’s release thanks to the recent opening of The Knot Churros. 

Billing itself as London’s first ‘luxury desserts bar’, The Knot Churros specialises in outlandish sweet treats (many with vegan-friendly alternatives) – including the signature churros and dips – as well as milkshakes, waffle cones loaded with ice cream, glitter popcorn and a decadent brunch and afternoon tea. The interiors at the new Knightsbridge boutique are eye-catching and equally opulent, with plenty of Instagrammable backdrops including swings, floating flowers, pretty pink walls and even a pink baby grand piano.  

Alongside the usual sweet treats and hot drinks, the new flagship store has introduced several new dishes exclusive to the Knightsbridge opening, with eyebrow-raising newcomers including pink lattes and blue hot dogs (yes, really) with loaded fries, candy cotton churros, rainbow bagels and a pink, blue and cotton candy hot chocolate. 

The new shop is open Sunday-Thursday until 10pm, with 11pm closing times on Friday and Saturday nights. Live music is planned for Thursdays to Sundays as a fun alternative night out – with plenty of sugary goodness to keep you going all night long.
