You have until the end of the year to catch a collection of iconic portraits in a unique exhibition curated by Leica and Harrods
There are many reasons to pop into Harrods: to go on an indulgent shopping spree, to make your own poké bowl in the Fresh Market Hall, or to enjoy a cigar and drop of Louis XIII in the in-store humidor lounge. It’s a veritable cave of wonders, but rarely do people visit the iconic department store to see an exhibition.Snap happy: Terry O’Neill at Harrods
However, tucked away on the 5th floor, opposite Chai Wu restaurant, is your chance to see some original Terry O’Neill CBE black and white and colour photographs in an exclusive exhibition curated by Leica cameras and Harrods.
The legendary photographer is one of the most sought-after by collectors in the world. Renowned for his candid and expressive portraits of celebrities, photographing everyone from Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Taylor to Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss over an incredible six-decade career, O’Neill was also an avid Leica fan and even designed a limited-edition camera with it in 2018.
In this small exhibition of just 10 photographs (all available to purchase, from £3,000), O’Neill captures icons of fashion and cinema, including Brigitte Bardot, Michael Caine and Faye Dunaway. Don’t miss it.
The Terry O’Neill exhibition takes place until 30 December 2022 at Leica Store, Harrods, 87-135 Brompton Road, SW1X 7XL
