For the first time, the revered shoe brand introduces a men’s pop-up shop in Harrods that celebrates craftsmanship and creativity.
Joined forces: Manolo Blahnik debuts a new pop-up at Harrods
Synonymous with glamour, sky-high heels and Sex and the City, Manolo Blahnik is one of the world’s most recognisable and revered shoe brands. Now the company, which was founded by the self-taught Spanish designer in 1970, has teamed up with London’s most famous luxury department store for its first-ever men’s pop-up shop.
Enthusing about the new collaboration, Manolo Blahnik CEO (and niece of the eponymous founder), Kristina Blahnik, commented:
‘To create a unique space within Harrods has been a dream of ours for some time. We wanted to use the space to showcase the craftsmanship behind our shoes, handmade by our skilled artisans in Italy.’
Located on the second floor within the men’s shoe department at Harrods, Manolo Blahnik will exhibit its products until 31 July 2023. An accompanying installation will celebrate colour, craftsmanship, creativity, and comfort and highlight the Italian artisans who make every shoe by hand.
A digital display screen will act as the main focal point of the pop-up, showcasing a reel of factory footage and detailing the manufacture process, with display tables filled with tools the artisans use to create each product, alongside genuine pattern pieces and original sketches to honour the intricacy of Blahnik’s work.
Furthermore, a special preview of the Autumn 2023 collection will be presented alongside more than 60 styles from the current men’s collection – including six Harrods exclusives. Manolo Blahnik commented on the collaboration:
‘I am thrilled to have a dedicated space to present my latest men’s collection and classic designs. I can’t wait for everyone to experience the pop-up and enjoy the styles which are exclusive to Harrods.’
