Italian summer dining and wine tastings at Cantinetta Antinori London

Surrounded by iconic Italian designer brands – the likes of Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Fendi – Cantinetta Antinori is a dynasty unto its own. Powered by the Antinori family, the brand has been making some of Italy’s most prestigious wines since 1385 and, today, its Knightsbridge restaurant offers authentic Tuscan dining alongside a cellar filled with exclusive vintages from the family estates – as you might expect from a winemaker now in its 26th generation.

While the restaurant has become somewhat of a sensation for its pistachio tiramisù, Cantinetta Antinori has recently announced a brand-new à la carte menu, featuring some new additions to its already stellar lineup.

This includes oven-baked turbot, cooked with sliced artichokes and a delicate brunoise of potatoes and served with a sweet tomato and shallot sauce; pan-seared lamb cutlets with buttery heritage baby carrots and a rich lamb jus; and a luxurious seafood risotto featuring mussels, clams, prawns and squid, with a creamy and delicately zesty finish.

For daytime visitors, guests can enjoy an exclusive lunch menu, available 12-3pm, Monday to Friday, that includes a set option with your choice of antipasti, main course and a glass of wine for only £29 per person. For those who want a more unique offering, the set menu includes a special, daily changing starter and pasta, alongside fixed menu dishes – all the while admiring the restaurant’s vine motifs and beautifully painted family-tree fresco.

Next month will also see a run of special events taking place at the restaurant, kickstarted by an exclusive dinner to celebrate Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, one of Napa Valley’s most iconic estates, taking place on 10 September. The event offers guests the opportunity to try rare wine pairings, including the legendary Cask 23.

Following this, Cantinetta Antinori will also be hosting a masterclass dedicated to white wine producer Jermann, exploring the individual varieties of grape and a tasting of the award-winning Vintage Tunina and W Dreams chardonnay.
