Knightsbridge’s five-star hotel will host a series of in-conversation events in partnership with art book specialist Rizzoli this spring
Literature and libations at The Lanesborough
Get your literary fix at The Lanesborough hotel’s The Library Bar this March with a series of fascinating in-conversation events and experiences. Throughout March, the cosy cocktail bar at the five-star hotel will live up to its name by serving unique literary experiences alongside its classic libations. In partnership with Rizzoli International Publications, the bar will accommodate many of the fine, illustrated books for which the house is renowned under the Rizzoli Salon Pop-Up series. In keeping with the venue’s intimate atmosphere, guests may enjoy these at their leisure. On select evenings, three authors of texts on display will give talks and meet guests.
On 7 March, Getty’s royal photographer Chris Jackson will explore his role in the regal world. He is the author of bestseller Modern Monarchy, Elizabeth II: A Queen for our Time, and Charles III. On 21 March, revered interior designer Nina Campbell will speak with Country Life’s interiors editor, Giles Kime. They will discuss Campbell’s book A House in Maine and the process of creating stunning homes, which she has done for the likes of Rod Stewart, Ringo Starr, and the Queen of Denmark. On 28 March, fashion writer Violet Naylor-Leyland will talk about her first book Rare Birds, True Style. Joined by award-winning interior designer Beata Heuman, she will explore British style and penetrate the best-designed homes and wardrobes in England.
Tickets to the talks cost £25 per person and include a Manhattan or limited-edition Rizzoli negroni. Signed copies of the authors’ books will be available to purchase on these evenings. For more information and to book, click here or call +44 (0)20 7259 5599
