The five-star hotel is showing its support for Pride with a rainbow spectacle
Mandarin Oriental shows its colours for Pride
June – known for its glorious summer days, the start of festival season and, of course, Pride. For the entire month, people are encouraged to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. This can be through hanging up the rainbow flag, learning more about the community and donating to various charities, or by joining in the Pride in London parade on the first weekend of July.
In honour of Pride 2023, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is showing its support with a striking, multi-coloured illumination lighting up its iconic building, alongside rainbow flags hung on either side of the front entrance, from 30 June to 2 July.
The Rosebery at Mandarin Oriental has also introduced a new Pride Month twist to its beloved British Summer Season afternoon tea menu. Among the usual selections of perfect pastries, guests will be treated to a specially crafted Battenberg cake, decorated with all the colours of the Pride flag. On Saturday 1 July from 3pm until 4pm, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London will be extending its celebrations to the community, and you can sample a bite of the colourful creation yourself. If that isn’t enough to entice you, guests will also be treated to live entertainment to ensure all your senses are satisfied.
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London has also ensured that guests will end the day on a high. The expert team at Mandarin Bar has created a cocktail that symbolises love, acceptance and equality, with £1 from each cocktail sold being donated to the LGBTQ+ charity, Stonewall.
