The luxury department store unveils a funfair-inspired display and interactive games to surprise and delight this Christmas
Harvey Nichols’ Festive Fairground has arrived
Hot on the heels of Winter Wonderland’s annual takeover of Hyde Park, luxury retailer Harvey Nichols has transformed its flagship store into a festive fairground, offering a unique blend of luxury products and festive experiences.
Before you even step foot inside, Harvey Nichols’ recently unveiled dazzling window displays are designed to delight and entice passersby with holographic colours, animated lighting and refractive surfaces inspired by the fairground theme.
‘This year our Christmas windows convey the energy and excitement of a contemporary funfair that has arrived in Knightsbridge.’
Janet Wardley commented, head of visual display at Harvey Nichols. ‘To create this, we’ve used thousands of programmed LED lights, some fitted into colourful graphic panels, while others create interesting visual effects flooding the windows with changing patterns and colours. The resulting bright, uplifting and energetic scene sits well in the busy street outside the store and entices our customers to stop for a moment to see the beautiful clothing and gifts on display and entices them to come inside the store to discover more.’
Once inside, the department store has seamlessly integrated fairground games into its Christmas offerings, putting a sophisticated twist on some childhood favourites. From the classic ring toss to the ever-exciting claw grabber machine, customers have the chance to win over 4,000 exclusive prizes, including coveted items from Nars, Ganni and Charlotte Tilbury. For the Harvey Nichols REWARDS customers, there’s an added allure – the opportunity to win one of three £1,000 Harvey Nichols gift cards.
And the festive fun does not stop there. The upcoming Personalisation Weekend (17th-19th November) promises to add a bespoke touch to your presents with the option to engrave signature fragrance bottles, whiskey or wine bottles and monogram leather accessories to create truly unique and memorable gifts.
Finally, as December unfolds, Harvey Nichols will introduce the Supersized Advent Calendar prize draw, starting on the 1st of the month. REWARDS members can enter for a chance to win big-ticket prizes worth over £500 each day until 24th December.
