From indulgent staycations to Regency-inspired afternoon tea, the five-star hotel ensures every festive gathering is steeped in elegance and timeless celebration
Getting in the festive spirit at The Lanesborough
Christmas is just around the corner. And while the average person may not have even started thinking about ordering the turkey or taking the decorations down from the attic, The Lanesborough hotel has already announced its ambitious festive plans.
This year the five-star hotel will transform into “The Enchanted Residence” – a grand Regency wonderland glowing with festive charm. From glittering garlands and towering pines to Insta-worthy statement displays, the iconic London hotel sets the stage for magical moments, whether for a luxurious staycation, a seasonal shopping escape, or simply soaking in the holiday spirit.
Festive packages
There are two exclusive packages to book this season. For those who don’t wish to lift a finger over the festive season, the Christmas in Residence package offers a luxurious home-from-home experience in the heart of Knightsbridge. Across three days (24-26 December), guests can expect butler-served festive tipples, a Christmas tree in their suite and chauffeur-driven transfers to Harrods and St Paul’s for a joyful Christmas Eve service. Christmas Day brings breakfast in bed, stockings for the little ones, a five-course feast at The Lanesborough Grill and even a visit from Santa, while Boxing Day promises spa time or shopping the Harrods sales before a leisurely late check-out.
Indeed, Christmas is the perfect excuse for a shopping spree, and this year The Lanesborough has teamed up with Harrods for the Festive Shop and Stay package. This luxury personal shopping experience at the world-renowned department store includes a dedicated gift concierge and beautifully wrapped treasures to take home. At the hotel, guests will be welcomed with a Harrods luxury hamper, festive treats from The Lanesborough pastry team, and a seasonal drink prepared by their personal butler – who will also collect your shopping. With daily full English breakfast, early check-in, late departure and access to the coveted Lanesborough Club & Spa, this stay promises to make holiday shopping truly unforgettable.
Eat, drink and be merry
If the idea of preparing Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for the whole family is already filling you with dread – or you just fancy a little festive indulgence – then you can rely on The Lanesborough for exceptional, fuss-free dining. The Christmas Eve Dinner sets the tone, with executive chef Shay Cooper’s refined four-course menu that includes native lobster macaroni, beef wellington and festive desserts accompanied by live music. On the big day itself, guests can enjoy a sumptuous five-course Christmas Day Lunch in the iconic domed dining room, or a decadent Christmas Day Buffet in the St George’s Room for a winning alternative.
If you really want to elevate your Christmas party this year, or are looking to throw a VIP celebration for friends and family, The Lanesborough’s seven private dining spaces are at your disposal, with festive décor and bespoke menus. Throughout December, the hotel will host Festive Jazz Nights, and, from 12 November 2025-6 January 2026, you can book a table at the iconic Lanesborough Grill for a very special Bridgerton Festive Afternoon Tea, inspired by the opulence of the Regency era, with a menu crafted by head pastry chef Jolan Thiry. Fancy dress is optional but highly encouraged.
