Where to eat in Knightsbridge this August – Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Willett’s and Kahani London
Peter Joseph brings his signature Afghani Lamb Do Pyaza to Kahani with a complimentary glass of Champagne, and Executive Chef Shay Cooper opens a three-course set menu at The Lanesborough Grill paired with Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée. Two-Michelin-starred Dinner by Heston Blumenthal joins in one of its final months of trading before it closes early next year.
“Plated is a chance to celebrate what makes Knightsbridge and the King’s Road such exciting places to eat right now. At Kahani, we’ve always tried to bring the traditions I grew up with in Chennai into a modern setting. It’s a real pleasure to be part of a festival that gives diners a reason to explore more of what’s on their doorstep this summer.” Peter Joseph, Chef Patron, Kahani London
Willett’s Hour and Kids Eat Free at The Cadogan
At Willett’s at The Cadogan, Executive Chef Michael Turner is launching a daily Willett’s Hour from 5-7pm – £2 fresh oysters, £2 sausage rolls, £5 schooners, £7 pints and £8 signature cocktails, on the terrace or at the bar. Kids Eat Free throughout August too, with complimentary lunch and dinner for accompanying children aged 12 and under.
Beef Fat Choux Wellington at The Chalk Freehouse
Over on the King’s Road, Tom Kerridge’s The Chalk Freehouse joins with a new seasonal set menu that champions British ingredients and proper pub cooking.
“There are brilliant restaurants and passionate people all working to create unforgettable dining experiences, so it’s fantastic to see that being celebrated through Plated. At The Chalk Freehouse, we’ve created a Beef Fat Choux Wellington especially for the festival, alongside a set menu that champions big flavours, quality British ingredients and proper pub cooking done well.
