1. From South Kensington (about 20 minutes)
South Kensington is home to many of London’s cultural landmarks. Your festive walk to Knightsbridge takes you past the famous Museum Mile, from the stunning Natural History Museum to the Victoria & Albert Museum. Next up, pass through Hyde Park, one of our most beloved green spaces. But before reaching Knightsbridge, be sure to pay a visit to the London Oratory. The celebrated choir is sure to leave you awestruck at its haunting melodies.
End your walk in style by treating yourself to an experience at the Bulgari Hotel. Its limited-edition afternoon tea, in collaboration with sculptural artist Hannah Lim, is truly special.
2. From Notting Hill (about 40 minutes)
For a longer route, start your journey in the pastel-coloured streets of Notting Hill and wander through Portobello Road Market, where you’ll discover all sorts of vintage finds. You’ll then pass Kensington Palace, beautifully adorned with twinkling lights that add a regal charm.
Continuing through Hyde Park, you’ll come across The Serpentine. Here, wild swimmers defy the icy waters, embracing the chill for an invigorating outdoor swim. Fancy joining them? If not, the stunning lake views are equally rewarding. Afterwards, make your way to 360 Lounge or Nolita Social, two of Knightsbridge’s trendiest spots, to warm yourself up with a well-deserved cocktail – especially if you’ve just taken the plunge.
3. From Chelsea/Fulham (about 30 minutes)
Starting your walk in the chic southwest neighbourhood of Chelsea offers a scenic route to Knightsbridge. Stroll down the King’s Road, admiring festive displays and stopping by a cosy café along the way. Once in Knightsbridge, Harrods is a must, especially during the holidays. For proper walking gear, swing by Church’s or Crockett & Jones for fine leather shoes to prep for your next adventure.
4. From Camden Town (about 1 hour)
For a more immersive journey, start your walk in Camden Town, known for its alternative vibe, vintage markets and buzzing music scene. As you head south, you’ll pass through Regent’s Park, which is particularly peaceful during the winter months. The landscaped gardens and boating lake create a tranquil setting that contrasts beautifully with the festive hustle and bustle of central London.
After this slightly longer trek, reward yourself with some pampering at The HVN, a luxurious retreat that offers holistic treatments inspired by Japanese rituals.
5. From Soho (about 40 minutes)
If you’ve spent an evening enjoying a show or the buzzing nightlife of Soho, why not continue the night with a scenic walk to Knightsbridge? As the famous Christmas lights and neon signs illuminate the West End, take a stroll through Carnaby Street and Berwick Street for some festive shopping. Round off the evening with a nightcap at one of Knightsbridge’s bars – perfect for winding down after a lively night in the city.
