The contemporary pan-Asian restaurant, located on Harrods’ Fifth Floor, has introduced new limited-edition dishes
Chelsea Flower Show comes to Chai Wu
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or not in the least bit green-fingered, it’s hard to avoid the RHS Chelsea Flower Show when it blossoms in the capital every May. Established in 1913, Chelsea Flower Show is the oldest and most prestigious horticultural showcase of its kind, attracting around 170,000 visitors every year from all over the world.
And it’s not just the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea that are in full bloom at this time of year. Many west London (and further afield) bars, restaurants and venues get into the spirit by adorning their premises in floral décor and launching special-edition menus. One such establishment is upmarket pan-Asian restaurant Chai Wu, located on the Fifth Floor of Harrods. This luxurious restaurant serves contemporary and elevated twists on beloved Chinese and Japanese favourites – including dim sum, noodle dishes and sushi – and is renowned for its delicious crispy Beijing duck. Celebrating the launch of this year’s Chelsea Flower Show (21-25 May 2024), Chai Wu has introduced hand-crafted flower dumplings, which are filled with lily bulbs and topped with truffle shavings, and a show-stopping “candy floss tree” dessert; a chocolate tree crowned with candy floss foliage and accompanied by chocolate mousse layered with cherry compote and chocolate crumble.
These limited-edition dishes are only available for the duration of the flower show – so don’t delay.
