The best moments you might have missed from London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week wrapped last night with a bang. After five days of glorious catwalk shows, presentations and a city abuzz with glamour, the fashion pack have decamped to Milan to continue the month-long round of fashion shows.
Out of all the fashion capitals, London is the coolest and is known for mixing the most wild design talent with electric creativity, on and off the catwalk. From street-style to celebrities, LFW delivered. Although if you missed the key events, there’s no need to panic. Here are all the biggest fashion moments from the capital’s biannual celebration of seasonal style…
1: Proving you don’t need a front row seat, Guess Jeans took a guerrilla approach to their fashion week moment by hijacking iconic London buses with a brand new ad campaign and hosting a magical mystery bus concert outside Buckingham Palace. Featuring some of the coolest girls in the city, a mix of musicians, curators, artists and models (including Tamara Doww, Mimic McVeigh and Femcels) are here to inspire your autumn denim style. See if you can spot the campaign on moving bus billboards this month.
2: The Burberry show is always a celebrity magnet, and Monday night saw the most A list attendees this London Fashion Week. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jason Statham, Lila Moss and Romeo Beckham turned out to see creative director Daniel Lee’s refreshed vision for the heritage house, while Central Cee walked the catwalk. There were reworked versions of the iconic trench coat in pastel shades, beautiful prints and delicate embroidery while the collection also includes a witty print collaboration with legendary British designer Celia Birtwell.
3: McQueen had a welcome return to the capital, eschewing their usual scheduled spot during Paris Fashion Week. Sean McGirr is creative director and said the collection was, “a celebration of London’s ceaselessly stimulating and transcendent power… The city’s uncompromising attitude and subversive spirit sit at its very heart.” A fitting tribute to the capital’s wild style and boundless creativity.
4: Edeline Lee designs with the ‘future lady’ in mind, creating elegant yet powerful dresses that let the wearer command the room and her clients have included The Princess of Wales, Taylor Swift and Gemma Chan. Mixing models with dancers from Britain’s top ballet companies, who bought the spring 2027 collection to life, the clothes were a mix of super- light fabrics anchored with tailored elements, which helped cement the ever-inspiring relationship between fashion and dance.
